In 2019 we outgrew our downtown location (where we practiced general dentistry for years as Whitehead Family Dental) and moved our dental practice to Gasoline Alley where we continue to serve our growing patient family. Dr. Darren Whitehead
Darren grew up in Southern Alberta where he developed a love for all things outdoors; he continues to pursue this passion as often as he can with his wife and three kids. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Lethbridge in 2009, Darren attended Dental School at the University of Detroit Mercy. He graduated in 2013 and has been practicing dentistry in Red Deer since then. He has a wide range of clinical experience and a solid knowledge base that he continues to develop through a passion for learning. Darren is proud to continue to offer the legacy of excellent care that has been provided by our staff to you, our patient family.

Ell has been practicing dental hygiene for 13 years and has been an essential part of our hygiene team since 2016 – she has a soft touch and a friendly personality that our patients adore. She loves working in our office 3 days a week, which allows her to have balance in her work/home life as she is Mom to two very active little boys! She enjoys travelling, camping, downhill skiing, and doing all the fun family things that are available in and about Red Deer and area.

Pam graduated as a Registered Dental Assistant from Columbia College in Calgary in 2000 and has been working in our dental practice for 23 years! Pam’s expertise and easygoing personality have provided our patients with a comforting presence that has fostered many relationships over the years. She has an adaptability that allows her to enjoy working with our young patients as well as our patients that are young at heart! In her spare time, Pam keeps busy doing work around her acreage and enjoys spending time with her family and playing with their dogs.
Michelle

Michelle has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 14 years, graduating with honours from Oxford College in Toronto. She has been an integral part of our Hygiene team for the past 4 years and continues to enjoy building relationships with our patients of all ages and interacting with each of them on a regular basis. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two girls doing things like bike riding on the city trails, swimming, camping, and just being together.
Crystal
Receptionist
Crystal brings a plethora of customer service experience to our dental office and has become a vital part of our administrative team! She has a welcoming nature and a great sense of humour that has allowed her to build positive relationships with our patients for the past 4 years. In her free time, Crystal enjoys being outdoors with her husband fishing, camping, sitting around the fire, and visiting their Southern Alberta stomping grounds.
Sara

Sara graduated from the Dental Assisting program at SAIT in 2020. She also has a background in Business as she obtained a certificate in that field from Olds College prior to entering the dental world. Sara is a country girl at heart! She learned how to work hard growing up in Brownfield, AB on a grain & cattle operation. In her spare time, Sara enjoys dirt biking, camping, skiing, golf, and has a great love of horses. She even spent some time rodeoing in Wyoming! Sara currently lives in Sylvan Lake with her partner where she enjoys the sunshine and life on the lake with him.
Julie
Receptionist
Julie is our newest staff member – she brings a strong background in business and finances as well as a friendly smile to our administrative team! Julie is excited to explore the world of dentistry and hopes to be able to form lasting relationships with all our patients. When she isn’t in the office, Julie can be found utilizing her incredible baking skills in the kitchen, volunteering with her church youth group, or serving someone in some meaningful way. Julie is Mom to 3 kids and loves spending quality time with her husband and kids walking and biking on the city trails.
